The Reliability and Maintainability Case is becoming the favoured way of improving reliability to the high levels expected and required today. This paper describes the principles of the R&M Case, the new techniques that have developed in support, and the benefits to be gained by the global Oil & Gas industry in its application while deploying and operating sub-sea hardware in deep water fields.
