A bill that would impose the nation’s first statewide carbon tax in Maine was tabled by the bill’s sponsor. Though carbon tax proponents have been unable to convince even the most left-leaning states to institute a carbon tax, that isn’t stopping them from pushing a national carbon tax in Congress.
