The COVID-19 pandemic accelerated ESG adoption with growing pressures for companies to disclose their environmental, social, and governance performance. Growing adoption is forcing regulators to boost transparency and standardization as investors and businesses struggle to navigate the complicated ESG domain. Currently, security regulations within Canada and Europe have imposed rules in order to begin adding coherence to the ESG domain.
