Summary:

A Canadian entrepreneur opens a grocery store which customers pay what they can for the food. The food in the grocery store is food which has been “rescued” from other grocery stores which would have been unsold and thrown away despite there being nothing wrong with it. This entrepreneur has also developed an app which lets the user take a photo of food items which are still good and edible and allow whoever wants it to come and pick it up. Canada wastes $31 billion dollars of food a year. Rotting food creates methane which contributes to global warming. Another entrepreneur in this article created a way to deliver food to customers which farmers could not sell to grocery stores which would have otherwise been thrown away.
