Summary:
The present study is based on oribatid mite material collected from saline soil in the vicinity of Lake Sivash, North Crimea; a list of identified taxa, including 24 species, belonging to 22 genera and 20 families, is presented. One new species, Galumna (Neogalumna) sivashensis sp. nov. is described differing from all known species of the subgenus by the absence (versus presence) of sublamellar line. An identification key to representatives of Galumna (Neogalumna) is provided.
