Summary:

In November of 2020, the Liberal Government of Canada implemented Bill C-12 to bring new measures to support Canada’s fight against climate change. This Bill is not sufficent enough as there are not enough supporting legislative components whcih to make this Bill have a significant impact on its own. The bill proposes five elements for Canada’s economy to become “decarbonized” but leaves out cruical elements. The targets in Bill C-12 are too long and should be shortend in length as other nations have been able to meet to meet carbon budget goals in a shorter amount of time than expected.
